The Physics Day is a public event, particularly for high school students, to learn about the work and
research of the various physical institutes in Jena. Thanks to Dr. Hans-Peter Nollert from Tübingen,
the TPI presented an exhibition on numerical relativity with several vivid samples.

People were especially attracted by the relativistic bicycle, being able to discover the world at almost
light speed. A webcam station simulating the optical influence of a black hole on a live picture and a
Michelson interferometer were also part of the TPI presentation and lead to animated discussions.
